A beautiful new normal

Its Friday and today I thought, big deal. Our big trip is to Walmart, and that is 1 mile away. I am blessed that I have worked from home for a long time, but I am not used to not being able to do the fun things we have come to love: eating out at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Having date night and getting dressed up. Running errands and being able to breath freely. Getting ready for church on Sunday morning and worshipping with our friends. I miss all of that. But, I pray we do not go back to normal. I pray we have a new normal that is focused on on really living our lives and not running through them at a breakneck speed. Our new normal has allowed me to spend time walking my dog and really enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, and not racing home to go somewhere. I love eating dinner at home and trying new recipes. I love being able to virtually train my clients and get up a little later because I do not have a drive. I love having coffee with my husband every morning and knowing that he will be available to chat with me. I love looking around our house and finishing little projects I have been saying I am going to do for the12 years we have lived in our home. I love spending time alone with the Lord every morning. I love painting with my daughter and laughing. I love my virtual prayer group of ladies who laugh nd cry with me, and then workout with me. Yes, Covid19 has changed so much, but some of it needed to be changed in my life. Now, excuse me while I go pet Hummer and enjoy this beautiful Friday. Maybe we will even grill later.
